As part of its strategy for the following years, Asociatia Pro Democratia currently implements projects aiming at supporting the fight against corruption on the one hand and promoting civic participation and public debates, on the other, and uses its national network in order to strive for deeper, grass root results. The following projects will be discussed next in more detail: Your Silence Is Expensive!; Campaign for a Clean Local Public Administration; Partnership for Good Governance and Local Development; Transparency and Control in Political Party Financing; and Constitutional Reform.

As of the beginning of 2008, the CLS is involved in several research projects. Some are towards their end, some are just starting. They involve CLS in three capacities – as leader of research with international relevance, a partner in international research networks, and a student of Bulgaria.
The Dutch Institute for Political Participation (IPP) is an independent, non-partisan organisation that promotes political and social participation, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Some of its projects are subsidised by the central government. Besides that, a substantial part of its revenue is generated by commissions from provincial and municipal authorities, other government agencies, and non-governmental organisations. GONG is a non-partisan citizens' organization founded in 1997 to encourage citizens to take active participation in political processes. GONG conducts non-partisan monitoring of election process, educates citizens about their rights and duties, encourages mutual communication between citizens and their elected representatives, promotes transparency of work within public services, manages public advocacy campaigns and encourages and helps citizens in self-organizing initiatives.
TASC is an independent Irish think-tank committed to progressive social change. Through its research projects, TASC actively seeks out evidence-based ideas and policy solutions which are designed to empower individuals and organisations to work towards the vision of a just and equal society. Reflecting an active research ethos, TASC’s approach looks to creating the physical space and policy space to make progressive social change in Ireland possible. TASC has entered a partnership with New Island press which publishes TASC’s books and pamphlets under the TASC @ New Island imprint.
We are currently engaged in a number of exciting activities, and will develop its work further over the coming months.
The Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice was established in 1996 to work for social and economic change by tackling poverty and exclusion. In its mission to bring about social and economic change the partnership has developed a two-pronged approach to tackling the issues of poverty and exclusion by (a) carrying out in-depth research into what is needed for a minimum essential standard of living and (b) by establishing an Active Citizenship/Voter Education programme in Ireland.
The Youth centre of Dravinja Valley carries out activities in the field of informal education, culture, encouragement of positive rivalry, informing and consultancy, voluntarily youth work, mobility of the young (European Youth Programme), encouraging of moral and ethical principles, programmes about informing and preventing addictions, personality growth, encouraging activities in youth organizations, publishing, and other free time activities (craft, workshops).
