A new year, a new Politeia Newsletter. Unlike the last few Politeia Newsletters we will not focus on a specific European theme this time, but we will pay attention mainly to Politeia and its members. An elaborate Politeia News section.
We asked each member to describe 2 to 4 projects they are successfully running. The result is presented in this Newsletter: an overview of interesting, inspiring and diverse projects. While TASC in Ireland and Centre for Liberal Strategies in Bulgaria conduct mainly research, Asociatia Pro Democratia fights corruption in Romania. IPP in the Netherlands, GONG in Croatia and Youth Centre Dravinja Valley in Slovenia are strong in developing youth projects, while Vincentian Partnership for Justice in Ireland and IPP have developed tools in order to help citizens in the voting process.
Apart from all these projects executed by the different organisations of our Network, you can also read about upcoming conferences in the Agenda, and the book review 'The search in Europe for direct democracy on local level' of Towards DIY-Politics. Participatory and Direct Democracy at the Local Level in Europe in the Recently Published section.
Be inspired by these project descriptions, and contact us if you are interested in becoming member of the Politeia Network as well!
