Cittadinanzattiva activities aim at promoting civic participation and protecting citizens’ rights in Italy and in Europe. It is based on a 'network of networks' engaged in specific public policies, such as health, justice, consumer and users’ rights, education and training. Since 2001 Cittadinanzattiva has promoted the Active Citizenship Network, which consists of some 70 national civic organizations from 30 European countries working together on specific projects on the European level.
